Welcome to GotGarb.com
Tents & Tailoring ... Medieval to Modern.

We love to create beautiful garments from medieval
England to the Italian high renaissance and everything in between (into the 21st
century). We sew Gowns, Chemises, and Tunics, not to look like costumes,
but as close to real clothing as possible. We strive for "authenticity" in
materials and construction when making garb and offer pre-made items in
standard sizes. Don't miss "Your First Garb", our basic line
of medieval clothing, offered at a lower cost.
We try to fit the garment style "in period" by avoiding obvious non-period methods,
materials
and elements (grommets for example) while keeping the cost low. A great place to
start for garb in the S.C.A.
If you are interested in
something specific and you don't see it here, let us know, as we do make custom
fitted garb based on your measurements. Visit our gallery of pictures
highlighting finished sewing projects, (with period details). Sometimes,
we are inspired by what others are wearing, sometimes its for a specific time
period or event like 12th night. Other times, its purely based on the magic of
the fabric, but as always, its a satisfying feeling to see the end result
modeled.
What's New?
After the
success of researching and making several "single-pole" pavilions, we've been
asked to make them for others. We have added a page highlighting our tents
& sun shades, including pricing information for those of you who wish to buy
them. We make several canvas
options such as a "BC sunshade" (or the dragonwing as its been dubbed) in
addition to other canvas camp gear. We are local to the Portland Metro
area in Oregon, so local delivery is a possibility, just ask. Don't miss
the page of wooden camp gear also available.
